Mr. Gentile was born in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island in 1962. He worked as an accountant and served as a controller of Monmouth College, NJ and NY College of Podiatric Medicine in the 1970's and later for Wagner College. In his leisure time he enjoyed reading, current events, world politics, telling jokes and stories at family gatherings, and helping his family and community with their taxes, finances, networking or just giving sound advice.
